Summer Happenings at Brookwood ISD

Summer Buzz: What’s Happening Around Campus! ☀️

While our classrooms might be quiet, the school is absolutely buzzing with activity this summer! Our dedicated facilities and custodial teams are working hard behind the scenes to get everything sparkling clean and upgraded for the upcoming school year.

Here is a quick look at what’s happening around campus:

Gym Floor Facelift: The gymnasium is getting a complete makeover! The floors are being sanded, resealed, and repainted with our fresh new team logos.

Deep Cleaning & Polish: Every single classroom, hallway, and locker is being scrubbed from top to bottom. Expect extra-shiny floors come August!

The Green Team Upgrade: Our community garden is getting a new automated watering system and a shaded outdoor reading pavilion, courtesy of our amazing PTA volunteers.

Tech Enhancements: The IT department is busy installing upgraded, high-speed Wi-Fi access points across the entire campus to ensure seamless learning next term.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back to a refreshed and beautiful school. Enjoy the rest of your summer, stay safe, and keep reading!

Teacher's in the Wild!

School is out, the sun is shining, and our educators are on the move! In our Teachers in the Wild segment, we love catching up with our staff to see how they are spending their well-deserved time off. From tropical beaches to mountain trails, take a peek at the incredible summer vacations and adventures our teachers are enjoying before the next school year begins!

Where in the world is Ms. Taylor?

Look who we found! We spotted our fabulous Ms. Taylor trading her whiteboard for a very specific kind of French tour. While most people were distracted by that other big metal landmark (the Eiffel Tower, was it?), we caught her deeply engrossed in a spontaneous 'urban art installation' – aka this incredibly stickered lightpost. She insists she was just 'studying the local semiotics' for her next classroom bulletin board, but we think she's just a big fan of international street art! Keep an eye out, parents and students, you never know where our teachers will pop up next! Maybe she’s even grading papers in her head! #TeachersInTheWild

Mr. Wilson's Magical Empire!

Look who got caught living his best life! Our beloved history teacher, Mr. Wilson, traded grading papers for making memories (and probably negotiating ride choices) at the Happiest Place on Earth. We spotted him grinning widely in front of Cinderella Castle, expertly navigating a magical empire. While he resisted the Mickey ears, we can clearly tell that he's not the one in charge—the girl in the fluffy pink princess dress is. He just smiles and says, "Yes, Princess!" Keep an eye out when you see him next—he might be wearing that 'Dad' energy like a crown!

🔥Ms. Tracey’s Summer Science Campfire! 🔥

Look who we spotted making the most of summer break! Our marvelous science teacher, Ms. Tracey, was caught out in the wild, expertly demonstrating the perfect Maillard reaction—also known as toasting the ultimate golden-brown marshmallow. She claims this late-night campfire was strictly for "chemistry research," but we think she's just enjoying a well-deserved summer camping trip! We hope that s'more was as good as it looks. Spot a teacher out enjoying their summer vacation? Send those pics in!
